Toolroom Records, the essentially groovy and euphoric tech-house label founded by Mark Knight has had a massive year. These guys consistently churn out chart-topping tech house bangers, whilst also adding some flavor with a sprinkle of electro and a few uncharacteristic grungier sounds scattered throughout. This sprawling 43-track retrospective contains most of the major Toolroom releases from the year that was 2012. Highlights include Dutch drum and bass outfit Noisia‘s twisted reinterpretation of Knight’s dark masterpiece “Nothing Matters” and DJ PP‘s groovy chart-conquering “La Luna.”
