Boarding starts at approx. 11:30am Depart Port of Miami 4:00 PM (be onboard by 2:00 PM at the latest!)

Saturday, January 26, 2013: Great Stirrup Cay 9am-8pm The FIRST night event on the island…EVER!! LOTS of surprises! Bring a sweatshirt in your beach bag in case it gets chilly once the sun goes down, you won’t want to miss this )))))

Sunday, January 27, 2013: Great Stirrup Cay w Nervo

9am-5pm

Monday, January 28, 2013: return to Port of Miami 8:00 AM (flights should depart 12 PM or later).

Where the WILD things are. Animal prints, tribes, tarzan/Jane, lion trainer, or be like a tiger baby GRRRRRRRR (although there are no tigers in Africa, we’ll all be wasted and think there are anyway!)

If you are a US Citizen, passports are highly recommended, but you may also use a Birth Certificate (original or certified copy) and Government-Issue Photo ID. US Residents will need a copy of your Green Card. Non-US Citizens will need a passport, and possibly a Visa, depending on your country of citizenship.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS ON THE GROOVE CRUISE

DRUGS Don’t be shocked when you see a SWAT team and a bunch of dogs at the port as you get on the ship. We had a couple of people get arrested a few years ago and none last year so let’s keep it that way. ALSO, when the ship docks in Miami at around 7am on Monday morning, Customs or Miami Police WILL BRING DOGS onboard and go through the hallways and can arrest you in your stateroom if the dogs find anything. There is no worse way to start or end a vacation than in jail. NCL/Whet Travel have a zero tolerance policy with drugs. Don’t be dumb.

ALCOHOL NCL does not allow alcohol to be brought onboard except one bottle of wine/champagne (which is charged a corkage fee of $15-$30 depending on the size). As many of you noticed on the last cruise, NCL has more sophisticated scanners to find liquids in suit cases (including ‘rum runners’). There were several hundred Groove Cruisers that had to wait HOURS as NCL scanned suspect suit cases one by one by hand and threw away tons of alcohol. And yes they even check your shampoo bottles and water bottles that you ‘think’ they won’t notice. We have a better process in place to collect suspect luggage so it should go much smoother if your luggage is pulled aside…otherwise it will be at your stateroom by around 5pm.
