On JUNE 19 the voting round will begin, giving you 2 weeks to prep your mixes and get them sounding groovy! On JULY 19th the round will come to an end. The top 10 vote getting mixes will then be critiqued by a panel of Groove Cruise Judges and passed along to our celebrity panel of guest judges who will determine who THEY want alongside them on the Groove Cruise LA DJ Lineup!

Winning DJ will be flown +1 round-trip to spin aboard The World’s Largest Floating Dance Music Festival, Sept 27-30 LA-Mexico-Catalina alongside some of the biggest names in the biz, AND receive a $4000+ package of goodies!

1. Have you ever been on a cruise before?

I cruise the strip and look for hookers all the time.

2. What comes to mind when you think of The Groove Cruise?

Fundamental American values, Republican core principles and Fox News

3. What do you expect to see on the groove cruise?

I expect all the headlining Djs to wear tiny outfits and play from my submitted play list.   If I’m not enjoying a particular song i want it changed immediately.   I also will require 4 Djs to be playing behind one mixer.  One must be smoking constantly and be from somewhere I think is exotic.

4. Favorite track of 2013?

You know that one track?  You know the one that goes “Whoop Bra bra bra Da Da Da”  SICK!

5.  What are your packing tips?  Anything special you are you packing for GC? Craziest thing you have done while traveling?Biggest pet peeve about traveling?

I like to have a nice colonic cleanse before I pack for any trip over international borders.

6. Where’s your favorite place to travel to in the world?

When I’ve been everywhere in the world and can compare. I will let you know then.

7. Who would you most like to collaborate with in the future?

Ben Franklin, Stalin or maybe Edison.  If they are all busy or dead maybe Chris Lake.  He seems like a nice chap.

8. If you made a song with a nautical theme what would you call it?

“I’m On A Boat”…Oh wait.  Ok…..”The Super Beachy Sea Going Adventures of Scooter’s Wacky Water Weasle”

GROOVE CRUISE ARTIST INTERVIEW: JOCHEN MILLER 

1.Have you ever been on a cruise before?

Not in my spare time, but I have played Monday Bar several times, which is  a weekend-long EDM party on a cruiseship too, in the Scandinavic area, bit colder then The Groove Cruise….

2. What comes to mind when you think of The Groove Cruise?

How nice the weather will be, how beautiful the ship will be and the people on it, and how much fun we’re going to have!

3. What do you expect to see on the groove cruise?

A bunch of happy, smiling, handsome people getting their groove on like there’s no tomorrow. And I heard someone state “what happens on the Groove Cruise, stays on the Groove Cruise” in a video, so if that’s true things can get pretty wild;-)

4. Favorite track of 2013?

Yet to be released by the end of June, but already my tune for 2013 is my upcoming track “We Have Tonight”, a collaboration with Swedish rock band Dogs with Jeans. I will definitely be playing that on The Groove Cruise, but maybe we should adjust the title to the occasion then, “We have the entire weekend”

5.  What are your packing tips?  Anything special you are packing for GC? Craziest thing you have done while traveling? Biggest pet peeve about traveling?

Packing tip, learn how to fold properly, I always travel with hand luggage only. For GC I’ll be packing some swimming trunks, shades and sunscreen along the usual. The most energetic and sexy tunes will be packed too, of course! Biggest pet peeve, I guess the lack of a decent internet connection on the road, but hey, seeing so much of the world kind of makes up for that.

6. Where’s your favorite place to travel to in the world?

Anywhere in the US, and by the time I get of this cruise I will probably add “any island along the US coast” to that list!

7. Who would you most like to collaborate with in the future?

In a perfect world I would be in the studio jamming with Coldplay and Daft Punk.

8. If you made a song with a nautical theme what would you call it?

Groove Cruiser?
