Music Mondays

Not sure what it is about a Monday, but this somewhat uneventful day of the week does seem to be the day when we are bombarded with waves and waves of brand new tunes and tracks from our favorite DJ’s. Personally, we feel like its hard to wrap your head around floods of incoming music just being dumped on you, whilst obviously focusing on other day to day aspects of your lives. So, as always, we’re here to help!

Because our Groove Cruiser’s are some of the most educated dance music fans out there, we’re going to help kick start your week and keep you in the know. As well as dropping our weekly 1 hour radio show on you guys, we’re going to choose 5 songs that rocked our weekend, and share them with you below!

P.S. At Groove Cruise, we take a huge interest in YOU. We wanna know what your listening to, as well as who is on your radar to keep an eye out for in the upcoming months. Any tracks out there that just make you smile? Old or new, feel free to post in the comments and share with the fam.

Happy Rocking Out.. please apologize to your boss for your lack of productivity whilst filtering thru the beats!

- The Groove Cruise

1. Sander Van Doorn – Kangaroo

This track is somewhat of a change-up for Sander, as we are normally used to his uplifting trance-like style of production. In Kangaroo, he brings us a refreshingly tight drop combined with a harmonic build up and a powerful melody. This track is guaranteed to keep you on your toes!

2. Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris – Iron

These two names combined are enough to send shivers down the spines of any EDM lover. Nicky Romero’s grungy and hard-style influence is combined with the lyrical genius of Calvin Harris and boy, did this one turn out well! Its EXTREMELY refreshing to hear Calvin’s actual voice featured again, as oppose to the likes of Rihanna, and with Nicky producing an extremely tasty drop to go along with the harmonious build up, this one is sure to be a club monster for quite some time.

3. Robert Lyttle feat. Kimberly Hale – Stay (Jack Heaven Remix)

This somewhat unknown euphoric trance and minimal tech producer hooks up with the beautiful Kimberly Hale on this track, entitled Stay. In the Jack Heaven Remix, Kimberly’s staggering vocal presence can be felt and combined with the tricky and somewhat edgy production, this is track was a no brainer to make the top 5. Not so much of a club banger, but as far as a Monday afternoon goes, it doesn’t get much better!

4. Adrian Lux – Fire (R3hab Remix)

Hmm, tough to really put in words how this tune makes you feel. Adrian’s beautiful original is given the trademark R3hab facelift, and WOW does this work well. The tear shedding original vocal track is left in tact, but R3hab does an outstanding job of building off of this to create a somewhat more exciting version. After all, thats what a good remixer does, right?

5. Stefano Noferini – Dabadu

Although not new by any means, there is something about the all Italian tech-house master Stefano Noferini’s production that make us light up inside, even on the gloomiest of days. Dabadu is no exception. We first heard this track previewed and bounced around in Miami at the beginning of 2011, but when this one dropped out at a pool party over the weekend it had the partygoers jogging gleefully along for the whole 5 minutes. Super catchy and pleasant, this is a track for the ages.
