As you saw last week, we’ve launched a new weekly feature here at Groove Cruise… Walk the Plank Wednesday (WTPW)! Each week we’ll be sitting down with a Groove Cruise DJ and shooting the shit, getting to know him/her and prepping up for the weekend that awaits, that is Groove Cruise Miami, 2013!!
Last week we brought you an exclusive interview with Sander Van Doorn, and this week we’re sitting down with the gorgeous Sydney Blu! Sydney has become a resident and Groove Cruise veteran these past few years, and we’re obviously extremely excited to have her back on for another run at it!

Have you ever been on a cruise before?
Yep 3 years . It’s called the Groove Cruise! 
Besides the Groove Cruise, what’s the most memorable party you’ve ever attended?
Oh wow, recently i’d say EDC…but i can go back to the early days of the Danny Tenaglia Marathons at Space WMC, Multiple events in Ibiza or playing the Rogers Centre Skydome with Deadmau5 this past year in Toronto.
What comes to mind when you think of a ‘Groove Cruise’?
2000 crazy people dancing to electronic music 
What’s your ‘Go-To’ track that we’ll find in all of your sets?
Right now my new record Another Late Night feat Mc Flipside (Kim Fai remix) also WHIPLASH my other new record on Funkagenda’s imprint Funk Farm.
What’s on your rider?
All the usual stuff (Vodka etc) plus Coconut Water.
What are you packing for The Groove Cruise? Any special packing tricks we should be aware of? Anything you NEVER leave home without?
My Music! packing tricks? ya i roll everything….makes way more room
When traveling, what bugs you the most? What’s been your worst travel nightmare so far? Worst airline?
Eyptian Airlines…….what a nightmare…i wont even go into detail. What bugs me the most is when the promoter in not on point and doesn’t take care of the artist.

Window. Always
Where’s your favorite place to travel in the world? Favorite hotel you’ve stayed in?
Other than my Mom’s house? …hmmm….there was a really nice Hyatt i stayed at with 10 pools in Scottsdale a couple weeks ago…what a resort that was!
What do you do when stuck on a plane all day? Any go-to movies?
I have alcohol. I watch tons of movies on the planes…i usually have my favorite series like Game of thrones loaded up on the hard drive
What artist would you LOVE to collaborate with in the near future? Why?
Madonna..because i’m obsessed with her since I was a little girl
If you weren’t a DJ, what would you be doing RIGHT NOW?
Working in the travel industry cuz i love to travel.
What’s something weird that most of your fans probably don’t know about you? Any pet peeves or superstitions?
Weird? Hmm well I was a cheerleader…..you can probably tell this from the way i perform. I don’t have superstitions…Pet Peeves? = people with a negative attitude.
If you produced a track with a nautical theme, what would you call it and why?
Ocean BLU……….i think the why is in the answer hahah
